One option is to stay in a beautiful 'auberge' (small country hotel). The 'auberges' listed below have been carefully selected for their charm and comfort. They are places of historical character and are set in magnificent, quiet rural areas. They boast excellent restaurants, ample parking and swimming pools.

There is also a second option, more suitable (and very popular) for people looking for total immersion, which is to stay with a host family; staying with a couple / family / single person in their house and having breakfast and evening meals (optional) with them. If you are interested in such a stay and would like to experience a complete immersion in the French language, this option may suit you best. Another cost effective option, if you are travelling in a group (4 or more) is to rent a 'gîte' (country house) or a mobile home and cater for yourselves. In this case, we could come to you! Details and prices available on request.

If you do not require any accommodation, Au Clair du Sud proposes daily themes with language sessions at selected gîtes, chambres d'hôtes and mobile home sites. Daily themes include French and wine, French and cheese, French and seafood and French and olives. Each day the language theory sessions, the working lunch and the practical visit are based on the theme of that day. Please contact us or your hosts for further details.
